Offset Films Turns 10 (I know, I know, now its official) : A Celebration in Cake, Lego and Confetti

Offset Films 10 year anniversary - The Cake

For anyone that we have worked, networked or casually bumped into this year, you have probably heard us banging on about how Offset Films is 10 years old this year, well now its officially officially our birthday day — and what better way to celebrate a decade of storytelling, creativity and caffeine-fuelled deadlines than with a birthday cake !

To mark the milestone, we created a social media video of our cake featuring a custom-made Lego film set complete with sparklers, and confetti chaos. But being us, that wasn’t all. Alongside the cake video, we also shot a tongue-in-cheek “fly on the wall” behind-the-scenes short that captures how this quirky idea came to life — from initial conversations to the tiny details that only film nerds would obsess over.

The video features myself and my long-time creative partner-in-crime Laurence, as we plot, build, and occasionally get side-tracked in our office in Wickham Market. We were joined by our ever-game camera wizard Jeremy, who helped us bring this not-so-serious concept to life with a serious amount of love and effort.

While this whole thing is a bit of fun (as well as an excuse to eat cake), there’s a reason behind it too. At Offset, we’ve always believed that people buy from people. Whether you're a creative agency or a local business, showing off the personalities behind the brand helps build trust, relatability, and engagement. This kind of light-hearted content humanises your company — and reminds people there are real humans behind the work (that like cake just as much as you ).

So here’s to 10 years of Offset Films, and to more stories, silliness, and slow-motion celebrations in the future. If you’re thinking about doing something a little different to showcase your team’s personality — we’d highly recommend it. And if you need help bringing that idea to life, well… you know where we are.
