As the year draws to a close, we’ve been taking time to reflect on what has been an incredibly busy and rewarding twelve months at Offset Films. From healthcare and education to sport, community, art, and live events, this year has reinforced why we do what we do: telling meaningful stories through film and helping organisations connect with the people who matter most. We thought it would be nice to revisit a few of the past years projects.

Making a Difference Through Film

One of the most impactful projects of the year was our work with the NHS. Working with the East Suffolk and NorthEssex Foundation Trust, creating a video for the Woolverstone Ward in Ipswich. The video was designed to help patients prepare for the practicalities of upcoming chemotherapy treatment. This project was a powerful reminder of the role video can play beyond marketing — helping reduce anxiety, improve understanding, and support patients at a crucial moment in their lives. We’re incredibly proud to have been trusted with such an important piece of work.

Supporting Local Sport and Community

We were delighted to continue our ongoing partnership with Bury Rugby Club, producing a series of films to help promote the club throughout the season. This included coverage of their kit launch and collaborative content with sponsors Merrifields and Greene King. Supporting grassroots sport and the businesses that sustain it remains a core part of our ethos, and it’s been fantastic to see these films help tell the club’s story.

We also completed a rewarding long-term project this year with Kesgrave War Memorial Community Centre (KWMCC). Working closely with the team, we created a host of videos for their new website designed to help people clearly see and understand the range of spaces available, from rooms for events and activities to facilities that support the wider community.

Alongside these space-focused films, we also produced content highlighting what KWMCC does and who it supports, helping bring their purpose, energy, and community spirit to life on screen. Seeing this project through from start to finish — and witnessing the difference the new films have made in improving clarity, accessibility, and engagement — was incredibly satisfying.

This work reinforced the value of thoughtful, well-produced video in helping community organisations communicate more effectively and ensure their spaces are seen, understood, and fully utilised.

Innovation in Education and Technology

This year also saw us working with Geetech, in conjunction with Google for Education, on a project exploring how Google Gemini is helping to save time, reduce costs, and personalise learning experiences for children. Being involved in a project at the intersection of technology and education — and seeing real-world impact in classrooms — was both exciting and inspiring.

Art, Culture, and Challenging Conversations

We had the privilege of working with celebrated artist Chisato Minamimura on a deeply thought-provoking project centred around the history and impact of Chinese foot binding. This collaboration pushed us creatively and conceptually, challenging us to think beyond traditional storytelling approaches.

Video played a vital role in this project, as it needed to be carefully tailored for both deaf and hearing audiences. Working closely with Chisato, we ensured the film was accessible, visually rich, and inclusive — using clear visual language, considered pacing, and thoughtful composition to communicate meaning without relying solely on sound. The result was a piece that honoured Deaf culture while remaining engaging and understandable for those who are not deaf, reinforcing the power of film as a truly universal medium.

Live Events and Industry Exhibitions

Live production played a big role this year, including live streaming the Woodturning Weekender for Chestnut Products. A two day event that is live streamed in it entirity for those not able to make it in person. We were also tasked with creating additional content for advertising next year’s show.

We attended the Anglia Business Exhibition for the first time as a vendor, working closely with ISSBA to capture conten from the day that will help promote and shape next year’s event, which we are very much looking forward to attending.

Continuing Our Commitment to Social Impact

Our long-standing work with Suffolk-based charity Unlock My Life continued this year, focusing on mental health within prisons and across the wider community. Alongside creating films, we’ve also helped them use video as a training tool — ensuring their message and expertise can reach further and have lasting impact.

Behind the scenes of Suffolk Fostering Services Christmas Film

This year, we were proud to work with Suffolk Fostering Services on a series of powerful and honest films focused on the real experiences of foster carers. By giving carers the space to speak openly about the highs and lows of fostering, these films offered an authentic insight into the challenges, rewards, and life-changing impact of providing a safe and supportive home.

Alongside this, we created a Christmas campaign film designed to help Suffolk Fostering Services expand the reach of their message at a time of year that highlights the importance of family, care, and belonging. The film is being used to raise awareness of the ongoing need for more foster carers across the county, using storytelling to connect emotionally and encourage people to consider fostering.

This project was a strong example of how film can be used not just to inform, but to inspire action — helping organisations reach new audiences and make a real difference within their communities.

Completing a Long-Term Story

One of the most satisfying milestones of the year was finishing our long-term project with The George Pub in Wickham Market (Our very own local). This journey spanned the pub’s history, its destruction, rebuilding, and ultimately its reopening. Being able to tell a complete story over time — and see it come full circle — was a rare and rewarding experience.

Building Brands and Businesses

We were pleased to work once again with Volt Electrical, creating online content to support their solar packages, alongside website photography and “meet the team” videos. Helping businesses communicate clearly, authentically, and confidently remains at the heart of what we do.

Celebrating Small Schools with Big Hearts

This year, we had the pleasure of working with Bucklesham School, a small primary school with a truly big heart. We created a video that highlighted all the wonderful aspects of the school, while also providing an honest insight into what pupils and parents can expect from everyday life at Bucklesham.

We also worked with Farlingaye High School and Stoke High school. It’s a privilege to continue supporting schools like this, helping them boost their messaging, attract new pupils, and recruit the right teachers. Projects like these remind us of the important role video can play in education — not just to inform, but to inspire confidence, build connection, and bring a school’s unique story to life.

Nathan and Laurence from Offset Films

A Big Year for Offset Films

Beyond the projects themselves, this year marked some major milestones for us as a business. One of the most significant was the merger between Offset Films and BN Media. After working side by side for over eight years, collaborating on countless projects and sharing the same values, approach, and passion for storytelling, bringing the two companies together felt like a natural next step. The merger has strengthened our creative capabilities, expanded our offering, and set a solid foundation for the future.

Filming in the Offset Films office

This year also saw Offset Films turn 10 — a milestone we’re incredibly proud of and that we chose to celebrate in our own special way, in the making of a video that poked a little of fun at ourselves, and still continues to be a talking point whenever we speak with clients and at networking, showing the power of video to attract and engage viewers.

Thats a wrap - Our round up of 2025

What started as a small idea has grown into a company trusted by organisations across healthcare, education, sport, the arts, and the community sector. Reaching a decade in business gave us the chance to reflect on how far we’ve come, the relationships we’ve built, and the stories we’ve been privileged to tell along the way.

As we look ahead, the focus is firmly on the future. With momentum building and new opportunities on the horizon, 2026 is already shaping up to be a huge year for Offset Films — including another big announcement we’re not quite ready to share just yet. What we can say is that we’re excited, ambitious, and more committed than ever to creating meaningful, impactful work through film.
